Problem Note 52101: The SAS® Integration Technologies configuration (itconfig2.exe) fails to start in a French operating environment

In a non-English operating environment, the SAS Integration Technologies configuration fails to start, generating the following error message:

ITConfig has stopped working

This error occurs because the ITConfig2.exe file, which is part of the SAS Integration Technologies client, cannot run in a non-English operating environment.

As a work around for this issue:

  1. Download the ITConfig2.exe.config file that is available on the Downloads tab in this note.
  2. After you download the file, place it in the same directory as the ITConfig2.exe file.

    On a 64–bit machine, the typical location for the ITConfig2.exe file is as follows:

    SASHOME\x86\Integration Technologies

    If you cannot locate SAS Integration Technologies client, you can look up the location in the Microsoft Windows registry under the Path volume in the following registry key:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\SAS Institute Inc.\Common Data\SharedFiles\Integration Technologies
  3. Re-launch the application.
  4. Once you perform these steps, you should now no longer see the error, and you can launch the SAS Integration Technologies client successfully.
